The Holy Face of Jesus devotion was given to Sr. Mary of St. Peter, a Carmelite nun in Tours, France, by Our Lord Himself as the Work of Reparation — a call to console the wounded Face of Jesus through prayer, adoration and reparation for the sins of blasphemy. Through her, Our Lord gave the world the Golden Arrow Prayer, the Chaplet of the Holy Face and the Litany of the Holy Face.
