Description
A little history:
The Pardon Crucifix originated in France and was introduced in Rome in 1904. Pope St. Pius X held a personal devotion to it and in 1905 attached special indulgences, later extended to the souls in Purgatory as well. It is remembered as one of the few crucifixes traditionally associated with prayers for the dying and for a happy death.
Praying for the Poor Souls in Purgatory has deep roots in Catholic devotional life, with different chaplets and rosary forms passed down over the centuries, especially tied to November, the Month of the Holy Souls, and All Souls Day. The included leaflet gives you both the Chaplet for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and the Rosary for the Poor Souls in Purgatory, so you can pray either form on the same set of beads. The beads going from black to shades of gray to white symbolizes the journey of our souls. Made exclusively for His Holy Face.
Great for:
– All Souls Day and the month of November
– Praying for a deceased loved one
– Sympathy or memorial gifts
– Anyone building a devotion to the souls in Purgatory
